Making Money Online is usually considered a scam or it is also believed that people who have started early are going to make money, but the reality is something else altogether.

Once you have got your own website, there is an endless stream of opportunities to Make Money Online

Many people state that only those who can make money whose Blogs are already been ranked on search engines like Google for more than 2 to 3 years, which is more or less correct but not the truth entirely.

It is not uncommon for committed bloggers to give up their day Jobs after a couple of years.

In this guide, I will try to share some of the best ways for you to monetize your website, with plenty of practical tips to get started from day one. But it is always better to start with some of the ways of making money online with your website because these techniques require you to put effort and might take a lot of your bandwidth.

  1. Use Ad Networks: This is one of the easiest ways of earning money online using your website. For this, you just need to ensure that you can publish new articles daily and also drive traffic to your website using organic or inorganic methods like by sharing your website links and articles to WhatsApp Groups or Facebook Community, etc.

Once it is done, you can then start earning money as there will be advertisements shown on your website by ad networks like Google Adsense or AdChoice.

These ad networks provide you some sum out of the commission that they receive for displaying advertisements on your website. This is one of the most popular and efficient ways of making money online these days and some people are even able to make $100 per day which is around 8000 INR per day or INR 240000 approx. per month.

  2. Use Manual Adverts: This is one of the ways by which you have to do some hard work. For example, consider you have a website and you receive good traffic to your website, then you can actually go to your local vendors or people who are interested in placing advertisements on your website to get some traffic to their portals or their shops.

This requires you to physically connect with shopkeepers or organizations and then post their ads on your website for a commission. You get the whole money and you can place their advertisements for a month or for a quarter as per the payment schedule.

This ensures that you are also able to develop your own client base and hence you can fetch more profits down the line. However, one of the downsides is that you have to do all the dealing and negotiation yourself to get good rates.

  3. Affiliate Marketing: Being an affiliate means you promote a product or service to your website's visitors in turn earning a commission if a purchase occurs through your link. Some several websites and companies allow you to affiliate for them for example Amazon, or Domain companies like Blue Host, etc.

  4. Sell Digital Products: Ebooks, printables, graphics, templates, dashboards, and podcasts are all examples of digital products that can help you earn an ongoing Passive Income from your website.

Let's say for example, you have a Power BI Dashboard that can show the Capacity of Employees working in an organization, and that can also send Email reminders to Project Managers, in that case, you can sell that dashboard for let's say $2, and if your dashboard was a hit and got 500 downloads, you will earn 2*500 = $1000, which is around 80,000 INR.

  5. Sell Physical Products: Once your website is up and popular, you can even host several physical products or merchandise for example clothing with your own logos or bags, etc. This way, whenever there is any sale, you will earn money directly because people will be buying the clothes from you directly without any vendor in between, because of which you can also earn good money.

I have seen several people who are in website development or even tech influencers, start selling clothes and printables on their websites once they become famous.

  6. Create a Business Directory: Set up a Business Directory page, where companies pay you a set fee to have their business listed. You can even charge a monthly or yearly listing fee depending on your site's traffic levels.

I had started similar work of connecting raw material vendors with cosmetic companies, which worked and today we have the only search engine that connects the raw material vendors with the research and development experts.

These businesses are also AI-proof, as AI can generate texts, but cannot create a Database of local businesses and their phone numbers or email IDs by directly connecting with them.

  7. Ask for Donations: Add a simple donation button on your website and ask people to donate a couple of cents if they like your content. Some of the biggest websites out there run partly or solely on donations, including Wikipedia.

  8. Become a Consultant: If you are an expert in a field, why not share your knowledge in return for an hourly consultancy fee? Advertise via your website and deliver your expertise through monetized webinars and podcasts, or even a video call where visitors pay upfront to benefit from your knowledge.

I had set up a website for cosmetic consultancy for some time, where I used to charge around INR 2000 per consultation for an hour to my clients. These consultations included detailed discussions about their vision, helping out with lab setup, and details about how to source raw materials.

You can also think about something that you are an expert in and start your consultation business.

These are some of the ways by which you can make money online using a website. If you know some more ways of making money online with a website, please add those in the comment section below.
